My Dear Friends,
            
It is my immense pleasure to welcome you to our website and St. Catherine of Siena.  Whether you are considering becoming Catholic, rejoining the Church after a hiatus or just looking for a new parish, we are delighted to welcome you into our friendly and loving faith community.  We strive to live our motto to act justly, love tenderly and walk humbly with our Lord in all of our ministries and activities and we truly hope that you will join us.  We are a very active and lively parish and here are just a few tidbits of what you’ll find here at St. Catherine’s:

• We have many faith-filled and engaging liturgies presided over by our three priests and an abundance of parishioners serving as Ushers, Greeters, Mass Coordinators, Lectors, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, Altar Servers and Music Ministry.  We would love for you to join us for worship.

• For those desiring to become Catholic, we invite you to join our RCIA program offering an inviting and rich formation and educational program.  For information, contact my Pastoral Associate, Pam Neumann at [email protected].

• We offer a large selection of appealing programs for the senior members of our community through our Senior Ministry.  You’ll find offerings highlighted in our bulletin as they arise.

• Our Religious Education program is second to none.  We were the first parish in this Diocese, and I dare say nationwide, to begin to offer a family oriented approach to religious education.  We believe that children are best formed in the faith by the loving and continual direction of their parents.  Our programs seek to not just educate the children but also to assist the parents with the ongoing education of their children in the home. We also offer a rich formation program for middle and high school aged youth through our Youth Ministry program. For information, contact our Director of Religious Education for Children and Youth, Marti Salas, at [email protected].

• We offer a wealth of family oriented programming through our Family Life Ministries.  Some of these programs include P.E.P. Talks (for Parents of Elementary and Preschoolers); and marriage enrichment offerings.  We are likely one of only a handful of churches nationwide that offer parenting classes on a regular basis. These courses have been held here at St. Catherine’s for decades and offer parents an abundance of tools to assist with the nurturing and management of God’s greatest gift, their children.  For more information on Family Life Ministry programs, please contact Kendall Antosh at [email protected].

• St. Catherine's Preschool is a ministry of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. Our program serves families of children 2 – 5 years old.  All preschool classes have two teachers. Our small classes use an emergent curriculum based on developmentally appropriate activities. Our teacher to student ratio is smaller than the Texas standards.  Our program also includes weekly Chapel. We welcome diversity in race, religion, and socio-economic status. The hours are 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday, with a two or three day a week option. • Finally, our Community Ministries Office offers an abundance of riches.  We have a large number of ministries that serve the parish community and the greater community including outreach programs such as Drive a Senior, Mobile Loaves and Fishes, programming that supports caregivers as well as an assortment of other programs serving the poor and vulnerable in Austin and beyond.  The Community Ministry Office also manages all of our parish hospitality events and our Pomegranate Café which is located in our new Parish Center.
