Adult Education

The Basic Teachings of the Catholic Faith Program offers a general introduction to the theological principles found in the Catechism of the Catholic Church. This program serves as the first step in basic adult formation for all ministry groups that seek evangelization and catechetical certification. The coursework includes; Introduction to Scripture; Creed; Liturgy and Sacraments; Christian Morality; Prayer and Spirituality. Each of the five segments offers 6 clock hours of instruction

This program is conducted by the Diocese of Austin and we at St. Catherine's are delighted to host it. 

Sessions run from 6-9 PM beginning on Sept.19 and meet on the third Wednesday of the month.

Bishop Robert Barron is the foremost leader in the work of evangelization in the United States today. He has published numerous DVD programs for parishes to help all of us to grow in appreciation of our Catholic heritage.

We are excited to offer his programs at St. Catherine's. These are video based, live facilitated presentations. Starting on Sept. 18 @ 7 PM, we will meet on the first and third Tuesdays of the month in the Cenecale of the Parish Center.

Our first offering will be his stunning program, Catholicism. Whether you have seen it before or have never seen it, please join us - it is a gorgeous reminder of the beauty of the Catholic Church.

 

Fr. Lou Brussati is well-known for his challenging sermons, naming the demandsthat Jesus makes of us in our contemporary world. He will be giving presentations on the ethical and moral challenges we all have to face in life. Starting on Sept.12 @ 7 PM and then on the second Wednesday of each month. No registration is needed.
