Preschool St. Nicholas Celebration | Thursday, December 5, 11:15 AM - 12:30 PM
Families of young children are invited to join our preschool’s special St. Nicholas Celebration! This joyful event will take place on December 5 from 11:15 AM to 12:30 PM, immediately following preschool dismissal at 11:00 AM. We’ll celebrate St. Nicholas’ feast day with fun games, crafts, and activities highlighting his story and the spirit of giving. Come and enjoy this festive gathering with your little ones as we learn and celebrate the legacy of St. Nicholas!Farewell Party for Father Ray | Saturday, December 7 6:30 PMPlease join us in celebrating Father Ray, showing our appreciation, and sending him off with our love and prayers. All are invited on Saturday, December 7, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. in Johnson Hall. Please bring a side dish, salad, dessert, or wine to share. Please RSVP and let us know what you’ll bring. Las Posadas | Sunday, December 8 at 6:15 PMSt. Catherine’s will host Las Posadas after the 5:00 p.m. Mass. All families are invited to attend the Posadas, the Bethlehem walk with Mary and Joseph as they look for a room for baby Jesus to be born. This will be an outdoor event in the evening, so please dress accordingly and bring a flashlight if you have one.

Our Lady of Guadalupe Mass | Saturday, December 14 at 5:00 PMOur Lady of Guadalupe Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 14 at the 5:00 p.m. Mass. Our annual Mass for the Feast of Our Lady will feature a dramatization of the appearance of the Virgin Mary to St. Juan Diego by our Amigos Club. Music will be provided by Mariachis. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served after Mass.
Telling of the Christmas Story | Sunday, December 15 at 3:00 PMCome listen and participate in the telling of the story of Jesus’ birth. Children can come dressed in simple costumes like angels, shepherds, and kings to be part of the story. Everyone is invited to this beloved event!
Poinsettia Flower Memorials:
Remember your loved ones by purchasing a Christmas poinsettia to be used in decorating the church during the Christmas season. Anyone interested in remembering a loved one at Christmas with a memorial gift of poinsettias may place the name of the person to be remembered, along with $15, in an envelope marked “Christmas Flowers” and place in the collection basket. Names and donations may also be submitted online at stcatherine-austin.org/poinsettia-memorials. Deadline is Monday, December 16.
