On Friday, May 27th at 12:45pm (after noon mass), our community is invited to gather in prayer with the Rosary in the Sanctuary. May Our Lady of Sorrows intercede for all those suffering as a result of the shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde.
While the priests of the parish are on retreat, on Tue., May 31, daily Mass will be celebrated at Noon but there will be no Reconciliation at 6 PM and we will have a Eucharistic Service at 7 PM instead of Mass. On Wed., June 1, we will not have Daily Mass at noon, but will have a Eucharistic Service.

Alan Ringwood’s last Mass with us will be this Sunday at the 11:30 a.m. Mass. He will be moving to Rochester, New York. Interested in making music over the summer? St. Catherine is planning a week-long event for young musicians beginning July 11th! We need musicians to make it happen. That means YOU! Vocalists and Instrumentalists of all categories (Brass, Keyboard, Strings, Percussion, Woodwinds and more) are invited to participate.
A pianist/organist is wanted to accompany one of our choirs in partnership with its director, cantors and psalmists. The ideal candidate will be skilled and versatile, able to play the many styles of the Church’s music with fluency and artistry from a variety of scores. Bachelor’s degree in Music preferred; other equivalent experience may be considered. This is a part-time position, but may grow in scope and compensation over time. Effective the weekend of April 23 & 24, the livestreaming schedule will be reduced so that only the 9:30 a.m. Mass on Sundays is livestreamed. We will continue to livestream all weekday Masses at noon, and all funeral Masses.
All of us grieve in our own way, but often coming together to share our grief and accept the support of others, can facilitate our healing. If you have lost a loved one, you are invited to join a six-week grieving support group starting on Tues., April 19. We will meet from 10:30 a.m.—12 p.m. in Room 231/232. As we prepare for Easter, there are many activities this week at St. Catherine. On Wed., Mary's Way of the Cross will be held in the church at 1:30 p.m. Holy Thursday Mass will be celebrated at 7:30 p.m. On Good Friday, Children's Stations of the Cross will be held at 10 a.m., the Stations of the Cross will be held at 3:00 p.m. in the Church. The Passion Service will take place at 7:30 p.m. On Holy Saturday, we will have the Blessing of the Easter Baskets and Food at 9:30 a.m. in the Courtyard. We will have an Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. on church grounds. The Easter Vigil Mass will be held at 8 p.m. The Parish Offices will be closed Thursday, April 14 through Monday, April 18.
The Knights of Columbus will host a Drive-Thru Food Drive in support of the Abiding Love Food Pantry. They will collect your donated food items on Sunday, April 3 and 10 at the Abiding Love Lutheran Church parking lot between 1-3 p.m. Please remain in your car and the Knights will remove the bags from your vehicle. (Look for the signs at the parking lot entrances at the corner of Convict Hill & Brush Country Rd). Monetary donations will also be accepted at kofc8156.org/food-drive.

We are aware that on Ash Wednesday the church is very full, with many desiring coming to receive ashes to symbolize the attitude of internal penance which we are called to throughout Lent. We will have two Masses as well as five Prayer Services. Schedule: Masses at 12 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., Prayer Services with Distribution of Ashes at: 7:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 3:30 p.m., 5:00 p.m., and 6:15 p.m.
