Fr. Boniface Onjefu is the Pastor of St. Mary’s in Lampasas, Texas. Fr. Boniface comes from Otukpo, Nigeria and continues also to serve the needs of the people there. The Bishop of Otukpo is seeking assistance to rebuild Catholic schools and hospitals from deterioration following government seizure and neglect over many years of turmoil and corruption. Fr. Boniface will be here to make an urgent appeal on behalf of the Diocese of Otukpo for funds to renovate their schools and hospitals so that they may continue to care for many people in need.
Bishop Joe Vásquez has assigned the Diocese of Otukpo, Nigeria to St Catherine of Siena this year. He will visit this weekend to celebrate Mass with us and speak at many of our liturgies that weekend.
