November is the month in which we remember our beloved dead. During this time we intercede for those who have gone before us in faith, that they are received and embraced by God. Here are some of the special ways to remember your departed loved ones in prayer at St. Catherine during this month of remembrance:
Join us at a Special Mass of Remembrance on All Souls Day, Tues., Nov. 2 at 7:00 p.m. There will be a candle ceremony for those who are mourning the loss of a loved one.
Sign their names in our Book of the Names of the Dead which will be placed in front of the Baptismal font during the month of November.
Bring a photo or memento of your loved one and place it in the narthex on the Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) Parish Altar. The altar will be set up in the narthex from Sat., Oct. 30 until Sun., Nov. 28. Bring a memento or photo of your loved ones to place on our altar. (Make sure to label the items with your name.) Take a moment to visit the Altar and offer prayers for all the loved ones displayed there!
