Christmas is a special time of year at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. Here are some of our upcoming events! We are offering the following opportunities to celebrate a hope-filled Advent at St. Catherine:
Advent Parish Penance Service | Tuesday, December 5 - 7:30 PM
Our Parish Penance Service will immediately following our 7:00 p.m. Mass. The service will include an opportunity for individual confessions with our own parish priests or with a visiting priest from the diocese. Immaculate Conception Masses | Friday, December 8
Vigil Mass on Thursday, December 7 at 7:00 p.m.,
Feast of the Immaculate Conception Mass on Friday, December 8 at 12:00 p.m.
This is a Holy Day of Obligation.
Our Lady of Guadalupe Mass | Saturday, December 9 at 5:00 PM
Our Lady of Guadalupe Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 9 at the 5:00 p.m. Mass. Our annual Mass for the Feast of Our Lady will feature a dramatization of the appearance of the Virgin Mary to St. Juan Diego by our Amigos Club. Music will be provided by Mariachis. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served after Mass.
Las Posadas | Sunday, December 10 at 6:15 PM
St. Catherine’s will host Las Posadas after the 5:00 p.m. Mass. All families are invited to attend the Posadas, the Bethlehem walk with Mary and Joseph as they look for a room for baby Jesus to be born. This will be an outdoor event in the evening, so please dress accordingly and bring a flashlight if you have one.
Christmas in Siena Celebration | Friday, December 15 6:30 PM
Please join the Community of St. Catherine of Siena for our annual Christmas Celebration in Johnson Hall. Enjoy a Christmas Sing-a-long with St. Catherine's Orchestra and Singers, led by Eric Carreiro. Please bring a finger food or dessert to share. We'll have a Wine Bar in the Café, so bring your favorite wine to share. Everyone is invited! This is a free event, no RSVP required.
Telling of the Christmas Story | Sunday, December 17 at 3:00 PM
Come listen and participate in the telling of the story of Jesus’s birth. Children can come dressed in simple costumes like angels, shepherds, and kings so they can be part of the story. Everyone is invited to this beloved event!
