On Wednesday, April 6, from 6pm to 8pm, the Faith Formation department will host a Potluck Christian Seder Meal. Everyone is invited to come and participate in this re-enactment of God's saving actions from the book of Exodus, which the Jewish people celebrate as their Passover meal, still today. In a Christian Seder Meal, we learn how Jesus' self-sacrifice on Good Friday fulfills and completes the actions of the Old Testament, and how the Mass continues God's saving work today. You will see the similarities between the Masses today and the Passover meal, which God instructed the people to do so that they would never forget his mighty deeds. The church will provide the special Seder Plate, and we ask guests to bring a casserole, salad or dessert to share. Families, children and all ages are welcome to come and celebrate together at this special, annual meal, as we prepare for Holy Week.
