SVDP Friends of the Poor Walk

A broken-down car, past due utility bills, a visit to the hospital, a Covid infection, high grocery bills, rising rents. Poverty for the working poor could be due to one, or a combination of these factors. Every month, Vincentians at our church assist our neighbors who call in for help. Your generous contributions online, and via the monthly “green bag” collection present a lifeline to many in our community struggling with these issues. 

The Friends of the Poor Walk, coming up on Saturday, September 7 is another opportunity to do something tangible for the poor and needy of our parish by raising funds, one step at a time. Sign up to walk, sponsor a walker, or simply donate. Walk with your friends, bring your children and tell your neighbors! All funds raised from this walk will go directly to the St. Vincent de Paul conference at our parish. Join us at the Pavilion at Dick Nichols starting at 10:00 am and take a step to end poverty.
