St. Catherine of Siena parish offers Faith Formation programs for children and youth in Pre-K through High School, not only to receive the sacraments of First Reconciliation, First Communion and Confirmation.
Preparation for the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion is a two-year program. Children must be 7 years old by September 1 or older to participate in the First Reconciliation and First Communion Class and receive those sacraments. For the first year of preparation (a pre-requisite year), children may be in first grade or above.

2. Attend for at least one full academic year (first grade or higher).
3. After one full year of Religious Education, children will be ready for the First Reconciliation and First Communion program the following year.
Year Two

Attend these classes throughout the academic year. Students who attend a Catholic School should participate in a the Monthly Family Faith program with their parents.

3. Once your child's registration in a Religious Education program is confirmed, sign up for the First Reconciliation & First Communion workshops, First Reconciliation and a First Communion Mass using the links to the right.

Middle and High School Students
Please contact the Religious Education Office for information regarding First Reconciliation and First Communion preparation for older students.
Academic Models
All children, regardless of their academic model (public school, homeschool, private non-Catholic schools), should participate in their local parish catechetical programs for preparation of and reception of the sacraments and to participate fully in the life of their parish. “The parish is the most important locus in which the Christian community is formed and expressed” (General Directory for Catechesis, 257).
