In every profession and job, employees take continuing education courses to stay on top of their job skills. Many married persons would agree that marriage can require skills, communication and understanding, and how to love each other. Consider improving your connection, your communication and your closeness by attending a class or weekend that would have you concentrate on each other and your marriage commitment. See the links to your left for three offerings at St. Catherine's church. Also, visit the Catholic website, For Your Marriage, for more options for improving your relationship skills.
Worldwide Marriage Encounter (WWME) is designed to give married couples the opportunity to examine their lives together... a time to share their feelings, their hopes, disappointments, joys and frustrations... and to do so openly and honestly in a face-to-face, heart-to-heart encounter with the one person they have chosen to live with for the rest of their life. For more information, contact Greg and Anh Thomas.
When a marriage becomes a source of difficulty and pain, in spite of our holy intentions when we make our marriage vows, resources to identify and help a couple are sometimes difficult to find. The Catholic diocese of Austin offers two programs to assist couples in their challenges.
First of all, the Catholic Charities of Austin Counseling Center offers affordable counseling, as well as referrals to counselors who may be on your insurance program.
The Retrouvaille Movement has helped thousands of couples examine their marriages and make good choices that help heal the hurts and betrayals that sometimes occur between couples. Give them a call and see if they can help you in your search for greater healing and happiness. Retrouvaille can help you heal your marriage.
