We are looking for people to serve as catechists, teachers of the faith, in our children’s Faith Formation Program. More and more young families are returning to the church after Covid and looking for faith formation for their children and support in raising them in the Catholic faith. We need adults who have a love for learning, a love for sharing their faith and a love for children. An ideas catechist is someone who is excited about their faith, willing and able to commit to teaching or co-teaching for one school year and is flexible and open to new ideas. A catechist guidebook will be provided along with support and training. All catechists will have the opportunity to participate in ongoing adult faith formation for themselves to grow in their own Catholic faith and relationship with God.
Classes are Tuesday afternoons at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. We also need one or two special adults to help teach a Tuesday evening Confirmation Class for high school students that lasts eight weeks.
