HOW TO HELP HURRICANE HARVEY FLOOD VICTIMS:

CATHOLIC CHARITIES OF CENTRAL TEXAS provides financial aid, counseling, material assistance and home rebuilding. If you would like to volunteer with Catholic Charities, please email Claire-Bordelon @ccctx.org. We are collecting Hurricane Relief Supply Packets at St. Catherine’s thru Sept. 24. Please pick up a flyer in the narthex for information on packet items needed or click here for a printable list. The flyers have lists of needed items and how to assemble the items into packets. You can donate school supplies, hygiene items and cleaning supplies. The needs are very specific. Please take a flyer and return your packets to the narthex by Sun., Sept. 24.
 
THE RED CROSS is referring people that want to help to the Austin Disaster Relief Network, (ADRN), a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, which is comprised of over 175 Greater Austin churches and thousands of trained volunteers. They are located at 1122 E. 51st St, Austin, 78723, 512-428-6322, [email protected]. They recommend that we donate hygiene items, new blankets, pillows, diapers (baby & adult), and wipes. We can take donations to their location and they will deliver. They are taking “Clothing ONLY” at the following 2 locations.: 360 Warehouse, 1905 S. Capital of Texas Hwy., Austin 78746, 9-5pm and Ernie’s on the Lake, 5973 Highline Drive, Austin 78734, 10-8pm.  NEEDED ITEMS INCLUDE:  New undergarments (all sizes, children and adult)  |  New socks (all sizes, children and adult)  |  Toiletries (shampoo, facewash, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, brushes, combs)  |  New bed pillows  |  New blankets  Cleanup supplies (masks, spray bottles, bleach, multi-purpose cleaner, powder cleanser, scrub brushes, large latex gloves, safety goggles, cleaning rages, trash bags)  |  Mops and buckets    Utility knives  |  Leather work gloves  |  Inflatable mattresses  |  Hand sanitizer  Box fans  |  Baby Bottles, Formula & Food  |  Baby Diapers/Adult Diapers  | Towels, washcloths  |  Bottled water  
 
DONATE FOOD TO THE CENTRAL TEXAS FOOD BANK
They are located at 6500 Metropolis Dr., Austin, 78744, 512-282-2111. They have several 18 wheelers in bays 7, 8 & 9 in the rear entrance near Burleson.
 
DONATE FOOD TO THE ST. VINCENT DE PAUL THRIFT STORE FOOD PANTRY. They are located at 901 W. Braker Lane.
 
DONATE BLOOD:  You may donate blood at St. Catherine’s Blood Drive on Sat. Sept.  23, 9AM - 12:30 PM in the parking lot of Abiding Love Church. You may also donate blood at We Are Blood, 3100 W. Slaughter Lane, Austin 78748, 512-206-1266.
