The mission of the Siena Faith Garden is to serve our youngest Catholics, who we now call our “Siena Sprouts,” through prayerful play, music and other early stage faith formation activities. The Garden staff will be following a brand-new, early childhood program with innovations called
Allelu! that makes it easy to engage every child and build his or her faith. Created by expert catechists and a child psychologist,
Allelu! is a Christ-Centered and child-Focused program that utilizes multisensory learning techniques within flexible formats. During our first month under this new program, our Siena Sprouts will begin to learn to make the Sign of the Cross and to pray our Lord’s Prayer.
Our Garden staff members are no longer merely caretakers, they are now catechists and they will need your help!
Allelu! is a program that requires many extra hands to help engage each Siena Sprout within it in a manner that is age appropriate. The program is manageable for any catechist without extensive facility requirements or expensive training sessions. We are asking each of the families that use the Faith Garden, as well as other members of our faith community, to dedicate some time to serve our youngest Catholics as they begin their faith journey. The dedicated Garden staff can’t do this alone, we need your help!
