The Bible Timeline is a fascinating study that takes participants on a journey through the entire Bible. Join us for this popular Bible Study every Sunday morning in the Cenacle, the Adult Education room in the Parish Center. We will go deep into each period of salvation history and discover the amazing story woven throughout all of Scripture. Begins Sun., Oct. 7, from 10:45 a.m. - 12:15 p.m., after the 9:30 Mass.
Bishop Vasquez has asked the parishes of our Diocese to unite in prayer and reparation for the sins and abuse committed against young and vulnerable people, which have deeply wounded the church and the hearts of all the faithful. A nine-day Novena will be prayed throughout our Diocese from October 9th through the 17th, beginning with Masses on Tuesday, October 9th. The Bishop will offer Mass at the Cathedral; here at St. Catherine, we will offer our 7:00 p.m. Mass on Tuesday the 9th in the main church for this very important intention. Please come and join us in praying for God’s grace and healing in the church.

BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS: In honor of St. Francis of Assisi, the Blessing of the Animals will take place on Sat., Oct. 6 at 9:30 a.m. in the Courtyard. St. Francis wrote, “All praise to you, Oh Lord, for all these brother and sister creatures!” He knew that the bond between person and pet is like no other. Bring your cats, dogs and other pets for a short prayer service and a special pet blessing. The Children’s Choir will sing.
Everyone who intends to use the kitchens in the new Parish Center must attend training. The next training session will be held Monday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. in Siena Hall. We hope you can join us for this training.

Please pray for Deacon WJ Ham, who died on Tuesday, Sept. 4. Deacon Ham served as deacon at St. Catherine of Siena for many years. He was retired from ministry and was residing in Kyle. The Vigil is Mon., Sept. 10 at 7 p.m. at Harrell Funeral Home in Kyle. Funeral Mass is Tues., Sept. 11 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Parish in Kyle. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Austin. A reception will follow at St. Michael Parish in Uhland. May he rest in peace.
