This year, in honor of the Feast Day of St. Joseph on March 19, we placed an Altar for St. Joseph in the narthex. This is a custom that is celebrated by the Italian Community, where people place flowers, limes, candles, wine, food in the week before the feast day. It was blessed and donated to various shelters on Austin. Fr. Pat hopes this will be a new tradition and work of Charity for our community during Lent. Every year the Austin Diocese Catholic Churches sponsor a house for a pre-qualified home owner.  As we approach the Lenten season, a time of reflection and giving of ourselves, this project will be rewarding and fulfilling and many ways. Our build starts March 3rd and continues every Saturday for approximately ten weeks. Join us on Fridays during Lent. Meal service begins at 5:45 p.m. before the Stations of the Cross. Come join your extended St. Catherine family for a free meal. No cooking, no cleanup, just fellowship. We will have dinner favorites for all ages. Sponsored by the Knights of Columbus and Ladies Auxiliary. Meal dates will be March 8, 15, 22, 29 and April 12. WE WILL NOT HAVE A LENTEN MEAL ON FRI., APRIL 5.
