Every Friday evening during Lent, the Knights of Columbus Council 8156 and the Ladies Auxiliary will serve a Lenten Meal from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. in Johnson Hall. All meals will be family-friendly. Please come and enjoy the company of your fellow parishioners with a meal before the Stations of the Cross at 7:00 p.m. Mass will follow the Stations of the Cross.
This Friday, we will have a Communion Service instead of noon Mass. We will offer Anointing of the Sick at the noon Mass on Friday, February 9, the second Friday of the month instead of our usual first Friday of the month.

St. Catherine’s Confirmation Ceremony will take place on Sunday, January 28 during the 5:00 p.m. Mass. Bishop Joe Vásquez will be the celebrant. Please keep our 45 Confirmation candidates in your prayers. We anticipate this Mass being very full, so please arrive early or consider attending another Mass next weekend.

On Sat., Jan. 13, 2024, Fr. Lou Brusatti was recognized at the Saint & Scholars Dinner and Awards Ceremony, the Diocese of Austin’s annual celebration of Catholic education to recognize the “unsung” heroes of the schools, individuals whose dedication enables schools to accomplish their mission and good works. Word of God Sunday, instituted by Pope Francis, is observed on the Third Sunday in Ordinary Time. We invite our parishioners to engage with Scripture to experience the riches of the Bible. All of us grieve in our own way, but often coming together to share our grief and accept the support of others, can facilitate our healing. If you have lost a loved one, you are invited to join a six-week grieving support group starting on Wed., January 17, 2024. We will meet from 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. Sessions will include a time to learn about grief, time to share your sorrow, and time to recognize and pray for healing. The group will be led by Lori Kruczek. On Monday, January 1, we celebrate the Solemnity of Mary, the Holy Mother of God. Mary is the model of holiness for us in her willingness to hear and obey God’s will. Mother Mary, please pray for us to be able to love our Lord with the same faithfulness that you demonstrated! Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.

This year, Christmas is the day after the Fourth Sunday of Advent. So how are we called to meet our holy days of obligation? One is expected to attend a Mass that fulfills the obligation for the Fourth Sunday of Advent and one that fulfills the obligation for Christmas. A Mass can only fulfill one obligation. Therefore, to fulfill our holy days of obligation, we are to attend two Masses. Click here for details.
