On Tuesday, May 30, we will begin the complete rebuilding of our Church sound system which was severely damaged by lightning in 2022. The work will take at least a month and may be subject to delays. During this time, the equipment that provides our internet livestreaming, homily recordings, and hearing assistance will be dismantled and rebuilt. As a result, livestreaming, online homily recordings and hearing assistance in the Church sanctuary will be unavailable until further notice. We regret any inconveniences this may cause and thank the parish community for your patience.

We are trying to be flexible and creative this year in the midst of the pandemic. We realize that not all parishioners may be able to physically come to the church to pick up reflection booklets. We have purchased a license for Ann Naffziger’s Words for the Weary: Embracing the Lenten Season after a Challenging Pandemic Year to make it available to the parish. Download these reflections for Lent and take a few minutes each day to think about our lives this year and entrust ourselves to God.
This has been such a difficult week for so many of our faith family. Many have lost power for bone chilling hours and now much of the City of Austin is dealing with the loss of water. The Church campus has been without water for two days and we do not expect water to be restored in time for our weekend Masses. Consequently, we cannot open the Church for this first weekend of Lent. Instead, we will livestream Masses at 5:00 pm on Saturday and 9:30 am and 1:15 pm on Sunday. There will be no Reconciliation on Saturday. Due to these Mass changes we will not be able to dispense any ashes this year.
The Diocese of Austin has asked all parishes to resume their normal Mass schedule starting on Oct. 4th. Saturdays, we will be available for Confessions on Saturday from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. The Vigil Mass will be celebrated at 5:00 PM. On Sundays, we will resume Masses at 7:30, 9:30, and 11:30 AM and 1:15 and 5:00 PM. We will continue with our existing Pandemic protocols at all Masses.
You can now subscribe to our YouTube channel to watch live streams of our Masses. After the live broadcast, programs will be available for on-demand viewing on YouTube. This is a great way to watch our Masses on your smart TV, or Roku box. Click on the title of this article for a direct link.
The ONLINE version of our Liturgy of the Word with Children for the 5th Sunday of Easter is now available. Thanks so much to Monica and Matt Howeth, Jimmy Rose, Connie Maastricht and their children for making this for us to share!

Please join us for an online Holy Hour at 3: 00 p.m. The hour will begin with the Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament, followed by prayers and hymns, Adoration and reflection time, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and Benediction. Access this event from the Watch Mass Live page.
Easter Masses will be broadcast live at the following times: 7:30 a.m. (Fr. Ray Pothireddy), 9:30 a.m. (Fr. Pat Coakley), and 11:30 a.m. (Fr. Lou Brusatti). You can access them from our "Watch Mass Live" page.
Due to the Bishop’s Decree, we have cancelled the Easter Lily Memorials for this year. For those who have already contributed, we intend to purchase flowers to dress the Altar on Easter Sunday and will place the names of the loved one’s remembered with those flowers in the bulletin. Thank you.
In accordance with restrictions placed by local government on gatherings of more than 10 persons, St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church has suspended Masses and confessions pending additional instructions from Bishop Joe Vásquez. The parish is preparing to offer live- and on-demand streaming of daily Masses; this capacity should be in place on or before Fri., March 20. Any effect on the Sunday Mass schedule will be made known prior to each subsequent weekend; please check the parish website before attending Mass. We regret any inconvenience caused by the effects of the current outbreak, and are grateful for the patience of the parish community as we endeavor to employ best safeguards and practices while remaining obedient to our Bishop and in compliance with all government mandates. Thank you.
