A Matter of Balance Weekly Classes | June 6 - August 1
Do you have concerns about falling? A Matter of Balance is an award-winning program designed to manage falls and increase activity levels in adults 60 years or older. The classes are free and will meet in the Parish Hall. Registration is required as class size is limited to 12. To register, email rhonda.smith@stcatherine-austin.org. We have 2 classes scheduled:
Catholic Family Faith Camp | June 13 - 17, 9 am - 12 pm
Children entering grades 1 - 5 next year are invited to join us for a week of Catholic Family Faith Camp. Children entering Pre-K-4 and Kindergarten and a parent, grandparent or guardian are invited to join us, as well. We'll have music, prayer, outdoor activities, arts & crafts, water games, Bible stories, snacks and more! Together, we'll learn how "The heavens declare the glory of God!" and talk about how "There's s'more to life with God!"
Spiritual Adoption Baby Shower | June 19 - July 10
Drop off donations to Community Ministries, the Parish Office, or the wicker basket in the narthex. The baby shower will benefit mothers and babies in need. Donations of the following items (all unwrapped) are very much appreciated: diapers (size 1, 2, & 5), baby wipes, socks, burp pads, bibs, baby towels, washcloths, Walmart & Target gift cards. Marriage Enrichment: Love & Respect | July 7 - August 11
Married couples, it's time to sign up! We're offering the six-week program, Love & Respect: Building Blocks, to enrich your marriage and help to bring God to the forefront of your relationship. As a group, we'll watch and discuss the Love & Respect: Building Blocks video series. All meetings are on Thursdays from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Cenacle beginning on Thurs., July 7. Summer Music Camp | July 11 - 17
Let's make music this Summer! St. Catherine is planning a week-long event for young musicians beginning July 11. We need YOU to make it happen! Vocalists and instrumentalists of all categories are invited to participate. Mentor musicians are also needed, and high school students can earn service hours for helping out. Luncheon for Grandparents/Elderly Parishioners, Thursday, July 21
Pope Francis has declared the second World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly to be observed on Sunday, July 24. In honor of our grandparents and elderly parishioners, Senior Ministry will host a luncheon after the noon Mass on Thursday, July 21 in the Pomegranate Café.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
St. Louise House Community Night Volunteers:
St. Louse House needs four volunteers on Thursday evenings to help with their Community Night when the families gather, have a meal, and then attend a workshop. Volunteers will help set up and serve dinner, assist in workshops as needed and then help with clean up. The activity is held at a church near Menchaca and William Cannon. Abiding Love Food Pantry Summer Volunteers
Abiding Love Lutheran Church Food Pantry is looking for high school/college volunteers (16 yrs+) for the summer. The food pantry is open on Mondays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Students can get community service hours for their participation. To volunteer, contact Rosa J. Hatfield at rosahatfield@gmail.com.

Eucharistic Revival & Diocesan Corpus Christi Mass and Procession

Bishop Joe S. Vásquez calls the faithful of the Diocese of Austin to prayerfully begin a Eucharistic Revival with the theme “That they may all be one” (Jn 17:21). Join Bishop Vásquez on June 18, the Saturday before the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi), to kick off the Diocese of Austin Eucharistic Revival. The day begins with 8:30 a.m. Mass at San José Parish in Austin (2435 Oak Crest Ave) followed by a 1-mile procession at 9:40 a.m. to St. Edward's University’s Main Building (3001 South Congress) where Bishop Vásquez will lead us in Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament (Adoration) at 10 a.m. To park at St. Edwards, register your vehicle for free at doal.ink/stedspark.
