Confirmation preparation for youth is a three-year program. The earliest a student may begin the three-year process is seventh grade.
For more information, specific questions or to find out if your teen is eligible for the Confirmation Class, contact the Director of Religious Education, Marti Salas, or call 512-892-2426.
Visit the links to the left for more information regarding our two options for Confirmation Class and to register. (Registration will be available online by the end of July 2022.) The date for the Confirmation Mass is set by the Diocese of Austin, and we will not have that information until later in the fall.
To be ready for the Confirmation Class, a youth should have attended Faith Formation (attending at least 80% of classes) for the two years immediately prior to the Confirmation Year. Students must be at least fourteen years of age by September first and be in the ninth grade at school.
For example, if a student attends in grades 8 and 9, she or he is ready to join the Confirmation Class in 10th grade. If a student begins the process in grade 9, she or he will be ready for the Confirmation Class in 11th grade.
Typically, the sacrament of Confirmation at St. Catherine of Siena is celebrated in early spring.
